I think we should do speeches on peacocks because they have such beautiful coloured feathers and I would really like to find out what habitats they live in, what they eat and I’d like to know about their life circle. And that’s only some of the things I’d like to find out there’s alot more!

The thing I find amazing about peacocks is that the feathers are so very long. I wonder how they keep their balance?

I hear that the boy peacocks had the colourful feathers and the girl peacocks had the brown feathers. Is that true?

I love the colours off peacocks.
Did you know that a male is called a Peacock and a female is a Peahen.
There are two types of peacocks,
the Indian Peafowl and the Green Peafowl.
Great topic!

I saw my first peacock in Tasmania. It was at Catract Gorge. It was very pretty because it’s tail was open. It was in the bushland where it seemed to be happy. I would also like to know more about peacocks lives.

Peacocks are interesting animals andd if you were writing a speech you should start off with the basics such as colours difference betwen male and female and rescorses ( food and water ). Do they live in groups or do they live solo. You could also mentions what they do in winter and the different seasons.

Jessica, you’ve got a good start for your speech. Now you need to think about how you could turn this into a speech where you present an arguement.

Perhaps you could argue that the Peacock is the most beautiful bird on earth.

There is certainly a lot of evidence that it is.

You could then compare this to other birds that are also attractive for example the parrot.
